Description

UNC Health is currently seeking a Per Diem Family Nurse Practitioner to join our Virtual Practice Primary Care Team. The UNC Health Virtual Practice offers scheduled and on demand video, telephone, and E-Visits for a range of primary care conditions, allowing patients access to convenient, personalized care that fits their schedule - 16 hours per day, 365 days per year.

About This Position:

+ Virtual management of acute and chronic primary care needs

+ Remote position, offering the opportunity for work/life balance with no commute. Must be physically located in the state of NC

+ Per diem position, working three 4-hour shifts per month including days, evenings, and holidays.

Ideal Candidate:

+ 2+ years of primary care experience is required

+ Experience with behavioral health is a plus

+ Open-minded and flexible with change

+ Strong virtual presence

+ Dedicated to developing new and exciting ways to deliver care

Education Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

• Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (i.e., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant) in the state of North Carolina.

• Board certification if required by the Department. DEA.

Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:

• Demonstrated clinical competency.

• Effective leadership skills. Strong interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

• Demonstrated written and verbal communication and strong analytical skills.

• Effective interaction to ensure the successful care of patients in the clinical setting.

• Documentation in the medical record to substantiate accurate billing.
