Responsibilities:  

+ Reads and interprets business requirements or incidents to create a design and coding solution to match the requirements.

+ Tests coded solutions to pass developer quality gates to implement a solution to a production environment.

+ Demonstrates the ability to communicate clearly, either written or orally with customers, business analysts, project managers, management or peers.

+ Collaborates as part of a team to achieve team goals and results

+ Supports colleagues with a variety of tasks and projects to meet deadlines.

+ Applies critical thinking relative to analysis, planning and implementation of business initiatives.

+ Follows DevOps best practices.

+ Collaborates on efficient design solutions with global outlook.

+ Creates technical specifications.

+ Assesses new technologies before adoption and implementation.

+ Performs Risk analysis.

+ Adopt Agile methodologies to develop software.

+ Continually monitors systems performance.

Experience and Qualifications:  

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or 5-7 years of professional experience in relevant programming languages.

+ Demonstrates good business and product design capability.

+ Ability to lead or mentor other technical team members.

+ Continuously identifies opportunities to improve technical debt through recommendations and/or coding opportunities.

+ Collaborates on efficient design solutions with reuse.

+ Creates technical specifications.

+ Assesses new technologies before adoption and implementation.

**Pay Philosophy** : The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at MAPFRE are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Salary Range $100,000 - $130,000
