Your role and responsibilities
IBM is seeking a Market Intelligence Product Manager to help shape IBM’s market point of view, strengthen competitive differentiation, and translate market, analyst, customer, and field insights into clear product and go-to-market actions. This role operates at the intersection of Product Management, Strategy, Analyst Relations, and Sales Enablement, and plays a critical role in guiding roadmap decisions, positioning, pricing, and GTM execution.
Market & Competitive Intelligence
* Own continuous market intelligence across iPaaS, API Management, Event-Driven Architectures, B2B Integration, Managed File Transfer, and AI-powered integration.
* Track competitor strategies, offerings, pricing, GTM motions, and M&A activity; identify strengths, gaps, and market risks.
* Develop and maintain competitive battlecards, win/loss analyses, and objection-handling guidance for sellers and partners.
* Identify early signals of market shifts, emerging use cases, and disruptive trends.
Customer, Partner & Field Insights
* Systematically gather and analyze insights from customers, prospects, sellers, partners, and GSIs.
* Analyze win/loss data, deal reviews, trials, and field feedback to inform positioning and roadmap decisions.
* Ensure insights are weighted appropriately by persona (economic buyers, influencers, practitioners).
Strategy, Positioning & GTM Enablement
* Shape market-facing narratives and differentiated positioning for IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration.
* Influence pricing, packaging, and tiering decisions using market-backed insights.
* Partner with Outbound PM and Product Marketing teams to deliver high-impact GTM assets, including messaging frameworks, POVs, pitch decks, FAQs, and sales plays.
* Enable sales and partners with crisp, credible, and confident market intelligence.
AI & Agentic AI Focus
* Closely track and formulate a Market PoV on AI/Agentic AI narratives that are evolving in the Market.
* Collaborate and contribute to IBM’s market POV on AI-enabled integration, AI gateways, agent orchestration, and secure AI consumption.
* Track competitor claims and capabilities related to GenAI and Agentic AI, separating substance from hype.
Analyst & Industry Engagement
* Partner with Analyst Relations to support Gartner, Forrester, IDC, and other industry analyst engagements.
* Contribute to MQs, Waves, Critical Capabilities, and market share submissions with fact-based, differentiated inputs.
* Synthesize analyst feedback into actionable insights for Product, PMM, and GTM teams.
* Track analyst narratives and proactively influence IBM’s positioning.
Required technical and professional expertise
* Proven track record of success in Product Management, GTM Product Management, or Product Marketing within enterprise B2B software
* Strong understanding of integration platforms, APIs, EDA, B2B integration, MFT, and hybrid/cloud architectures.
* Working knowledge of AI, GenAI, and emerging Agentic AI concepts and their enterprise impact.
* Proven ability to synthesize complex market data into clear insights and recommendations.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with executive-level presence.
Preferred technical and professional experience
* Strong Background in enterprise integration, middleware, or SaaS platforms
* Experience working with or supporting analyst firms (Gartner, Forrester, IDC).
* Experience influencing pricing, packaging, or GTM strategy.
* Familiarity with global sales and partner ecosystems.
