Overview
Kimley-Horn is looking for Electrical Engineering graduates to join our Orlando, Florida (FL) office's Power Delivery Team! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
Pre-Design Engineering
+ Coordination and verification of as-built drawings
+ Perform field investigations.
+ Set up drawings and models for multiple disciplines.
+ Collaborate with team members regarding design coordination, schedules, and deliverables.
+ Perform feasibility studies.
+ Prepare schematic designs.
Design Engineering
+ Responsible for the development of reports and design documents, including electrical design plans, equipment selection, solar system sizing, and power analyses.
+ Participate on project teams in an active production role
+ Daily interaction and collaboration on cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines
+ Perform energy calculations using EnergyPro or IES VE.
+ Develop single-line diagrams and load schedules.
+ Design lighting selection and controls.
+ Design normal, emergency, and renewable power systems.
+ Perform Arc Flash, Short Circuit, and Coordination Power System Studies using ETAP and/or SKM
Qualifications
+ An ABET accredited Electrical Engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2026.
