How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) Global Sales is seeking an
individual who can provide leadership oversight and strategic directions in managing the Global
Partnerships team. The successful candidate will develop and lead annual sales plans to achieve
revenue targets and drive customer corporate strategies in addition to ensuring global GSAs
goals are met or exceeded and KPIs are met. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level
of team leadership, customer focus, finding win-win solutions for our corporate customers,
global GSAs and Delta Cargo.
Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks):
• Partners with key commercial teams to drive the
development, growth and advancement of GSAs and corporate accounts.
• Provides leadership, oversight and strategic direction
for managing the day-to-day commercial strategy for the Key Account Managers
and GSA program manager.
• Develop annual sales plans for revenue targets and
drives customer strategy for corporate accounts and GSA.
• Develop and lead Delta 360 program for corporate
accounts.
• Implements
productivity measurements, team building and succession planning.
• Maintains and establishes cross-divisional partnerships
with Cargo operations, Revenue Management, Marketing, PAX sales, ACS, Human
Resources, Delta Technology, Finance, Contractors, etc in a strategic manner to
achieve key performance targets.
• Must be able to build effective business partnerships
with Delta’s business partners.
• Provides leadership and promotes team building through
motivational and directional coaching.
• Must cultivate an environment of positive employee
relations.
• Must be able to represent Delta in the community (key
industry events, government, non-profit agencies, fund raising initiatives).
• Resolves issues for customers and GSA regarding
commercial and operational concerns and issues.
• Facilitates the implementation and acceptance of change
within the workplace. • Makes sound decisions with positive results.
• Ensures a smooth, safe and secure operation (work
environment) while modeling Delta’s vision and values.
• Develops both strategic and tactical plans that create
a safety-conscious environment while driving results of the corporate accounts
and GSAs.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
• Bachelor’s degree in management, Business, logistics,
related field or equivalent work experience required.
• 7 years of airline cargo sales experience.
• Must have a strong understanding of customer strategy
and development of key business plans.
• Previous experience and demonstration for being a
champion of change in a large commercial environment.
• Ability to lead direct report teams as well as
influence without authority and work in a matrix environment is required.
• Must have strong business acumen, statistical, and
analytical skills. Must have excellent written and verbal skills.
• Must be able to present complex material in a concise
but comprehensive manner to decision makers.
• Experience in developing business and operating plans
is required. • Must possess strong customer service orientation.
• Must be able to operate a large financial budget.
• Must set high standards of performance for self and
others and be able to guide others in adhering to these standards.
• Should have the ability to make quick, prudent
decisions.
• Should have the ability to identify, evaluate and
refine functional results to improve customer experience.
• Must be able to interact effectively with internal
personnel requiring constant interaction with various personalities and with
all levels of management and non-management personnel.
• Extensive travel is required and must be willing to
work outside of normal business hours. • Must be performing satisfactorily in
present position.
