Description:

Nazareth Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid Atlantic, is looking for a Pathology Tech to join our team!

Schedule: Full-time, day shift, 37.6 hours per week.

Works under the general direction of the Histology Lead Technologist and Pathologist. Assists with the collection and processing of specimens for Cytology, Surgical Pathology and Clinical Laboratory. Responsible for processing of demographic information and orders, distribution of results and retrieval of specimens.

Job Responsibilities

+ Adheres to Corporate Compliance Guidelines - abide by HIPAA, laws and regulations.

+ Demonstrates knowledge of compliance with Hospital Safey and Infection Control policies as required by OSHA and the patient Safety Program.

+ Attends and assists radiologists/pathologists at fine needed aspirations when assistance is required.

+ Obtain biological samples such as blood, tissue, and toxicology material for studies as flow cytometry.

+ Properly identifies specimens and correctly labels the corresponding cassette(s).

Minimum Qualifications

+ MT (ASCP) or eligible or equivalent credentials

+ 3 years of experience
