About the Role:
As a CBRE Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for the supervision of the security team employees.
This job is part of the Security and Fire job function. They are responsible for the physical security and fire safety of the organization or other tangible assets.
What You’ll Do:
+ Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and mentor and coach as needed. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
+ Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules. Set and track staff deadlines.
+ Promote positive public relations by offering courteous service to all tenants, visitors, and guests while to their requests.
+ Oversee building operations. This includes investigating, reporting, and maintaining records of security related incidents. Manage security budget and manual updates. Oversee the use and repair of electronic surveillance equipment.
+ Point of contact with law enforcement agencies regarding threats, investigations, and other security-related issues.
+ Schedule and provide team training on life safety systems, CPR, first aid, and security operation center.
+ Set policies for building access, parking regulations and reporting fire and safety hazards.
+ Arrange educational meetings between local fire department and tenants. Act as a liaison between Property Manager, Building Operations Manager, and staff.
+ Maintain a working knowledge of all current building, fire, and life safety code requirements in compliance with local and national regulations.
+ Manage security budget and manual updates. Oversee the use and repair of electronic surveillance equipment.
+ Resolve complex problems and identify appropriate approaches to existing solutions to accomplish team objectives.
+ May establish new techniques to ensure the team is able to meet its objectives.
+ Has a direct impact on the team objectives as well as the objectives of related teams.
+ Ensure personal and team outcomes have a positive impact on customer objectives.
+ Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
+ Guide team through the application of basic knowledge of practices and procedures.
+ Work to build consensus.
What You’ll Need:
To perform this job optimally, an individual will need to perform each crucial duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. + High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of job-related experience. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred. Active local or national security staff certification requirements.
+ Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
+ Fulfill the physical requirements associated with this role. This includes stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs. Must be able to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
+ In-depth understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function and basic knowledge of related job functions required.
+ Requires the ability to explain complex concepts or sensitive information.
+ Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Excellent organizational skills with a master- level inquisitive mindset.
+ Exceptional math skills. Ability to calculate sophisticated figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
