Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing and logistics industry, is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk 2 to join their team. As a Shipping/Receiving Clerk 2, you will be part of the Logistics Department supporting the shipping and receiving operations. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong communication skills, and problem-solving abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Job Title:** Shipping/Receiving Clerk 2

**Location:** Lockport, IL

Pay Range:

**Shift:** Landsberg Chicago / 10:00am to 6:30pm

What's the Job?

+ Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.

+ Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials.

+ Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.

+ Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.

+ Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.

What's Needed?

+ High school diploma or GED required.

+ 2-4 years related experience required.

+ Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, problem solving and interpersonal skills.

+ Ability to analyze costs related to manufacturing, labor and materials.

+ Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production.
