At Amazon One Medical (AOM), we deliver transformational health care to achieve better health outcomes, better care experiences, and more value, within a better care team environment. Medicare Population Health Programs (MPHP) supports our Seniors business in identifying, designing, implementing, and managing strategic initiatives to succeed in Value Based Care (VBC). As Lead Analyst for Growth and Retention, you will support our Membership team by building and delivering analytic solutions to drive acquisition, engagement, and retention of patients in risk-bearing programs. You will connect marketing and engagement investments to membership outcomes, shape our understanding and refinement of acquisition cost, support forecasting and projection workstreams, and conduct deep dive analyses to elicit what drives patients to choose AOM as their destination for primary care.
Key job responsibilities
- Perform complex analytics on membership attribution, patient activation, retention/attrition – e.g., which patient segments join/leave, what drives re-engagement, what interventions work.
- Partner with the Membership/Marketing teams, clinical operations, risk management, finance, and payer partners to define and monitor metrics, identify opportunities, and execute data-driven initiatives.
- Analyze marketing initiatives tied to customer/patient acquisition cost (CAC) and evaluate ROI of various channels and campaigns.
- Develop membership forecasting models (monthly/quarterly/annual), including AEP (annual enrollment period) projections.
- Extract, validate, manipulate large datasets (claims/eligibility/admissions, marketing funnel data, EHR/patient visit data) and turn them into actionable insights.
- Communicate findings to senior leadership and stakeholders, and translate analytical results into practical recommendations for strategy and operations.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience with SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Health Administration, or a related quantitative field.
- 6+ years of professional experience in business, financial, or healthcare analytics roles, ideally supporting marketing, growth, or membership/retention functions.
- Demonstrated experience building and interpreting forecasting models (e.g., membership, demand, or revenue projections).
- Experience working with large datasets — e.g., claims, eligibility, EHR, CRM, or marketing data — and translating them into actionable insights.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of membership attribution in risk-based arrangements and the factors influencing patient engagement and retention.
- Prior experience to Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) cycles and associated growth forecasting.
- Background in customer acquisition cost (CAC) analysis and marketing ROI evaluation.
- Experience linking marketing metrics (e.g., impressions, conversions) to membership outcomes and retention.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
