    Patient Administrative Specialist

    **Position Type:** Full-Time

    **Setting:** Outpatient Clinical Office

     

    Pay Range: $25 to $

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Patient Administrative Specialist to support front office and administrative operations in an outpatient clinical setting. This role plays a key part in new patient coordination, surgery scheduling, and ensuring a positive experience for patients throughout their visit.

     

    The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Serve as the primary front desk contact, including patient check-in and check-out

    + Greet and assist patients with appointments, schedules, payments, and general inquiries

    + Answer multi-line phone systems; screen, route, and document calls appropriately

    + Coordinate scheduling and communicate with providers regarding availability and urgent patient needs

    + Verify authorizations and required documentation prior to patient appointments

    + Provide non-clinical support to patients using established tools and reference materials

    + Respond to non-clinical patient messages and CRMs, escalating as appropriate

    + Maintain and update databases, directories, and internal documentation

    + Manage incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and clinic-specific filing

    + Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) and telephone systems efficiently

    + Meet or exceed departmental and organizational service standards

    Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or GED required

    Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    + Familiarity with medical terminology

    + Proficiency with computer systems and Windows-based office software

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills

    + Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities

    + Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

    + Adaptability in communication to meet patient needs

    + Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations

    + None required

    **Pay Details:** $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
