    Position Summary:

    Florida Atlantic University is seeking an HR Manager, Recruitment Services - Boca Raton, Florida. This is an on-campus position.

     

    The HR Manager, Recruitment Services position reports to the Associate Director for Recruitment Services. This is a hands-on, working manager position responsible for leading a team that provides high-volume frontline support to hiring departments, internal employees, and potential candidates. The ideal candidate works well in a collaborative environment, excels at multitasking, and pays attention to detail. Must have a growth mindset and willingness to grow from direction and coaching while demonstrating a positive outlook. Actively involved in day-to-day operations and takes accountability for subordinates. Ability to work effectively within a team structure and support collective goals. Regular and consistent in-person attendance is expected.

    Position Summary

    Recruitment Services:

    + Deliver talent acquisition services that address the unique needs of the college or division in alignment with university hiring practices.

    + Guide and promote university hiring policies, procedures, and sourcing strategies.

    + Responsible for the successful delivery of services, which include, but are not limited to, the full recruitment cycle, and pre-hire and post-hire services.

    + Manage departmental projects, career fairs, university and departmental training, and information sessions.

    + Responsible for overseeing the handling of Veterans’ Preference, layoff email notifications, testing Workday Release, and pre-employment screenings for camps and volunteer candidates.

    + Responsible for identifying appropriate pre-employment screenings. This may include, but is not limited to, foreign influence screenings, international background check screenings, domestic background check screenings, Level I and Level II background checks, and verification of education records.

    + Provides Workday troubleshooting efforts for routine and non-routine issues.

    + Oversee the timely completion of applicant pool screenings, background check orders, and job postings.

    Performance Management:

    + Promotes staff collaboration and effectively addresses conflict to achieve common goals.

    + Directs and supervises subordinates, including daily work allocation, and monitors staff to ensure that operational goals and objectives are achieved.

    + Sets staff performance expectations, monitors progress, provides regular feedback, conducts performance evaluations, and addresses performance issues.

    + Ensure subordinates are trained to be effective and compliant in their work.

    + Provide subordinates with constructive feedback, identify strengths and areas for improvement, support professional growth, and offer opportunities for skill building.

    Operational & Quality Control:

    + Adheres to established practices while appropriately escalating complex issues to the Associate Director.

    + Organize and prioritize day-to-day activities, which include overseeing various departmental email accounts and other databases to perform essential functions.

    + Construct and maintain staff email schedules, work schedules, and time off requests according to operational needs.

    + Conducts daily audits of various services, including but not limited to the handling of verification of education, Workday inbox items, job announcements, and departmental email accounts.

    + Design various training materials such as Job Aids, Checklists, PowerPoints, Video Tutorials, and PDF guides to assist HR staff, HR Partners, and Hiring Managers.

    + Responsible for the timely submission of state reports.

    + Organizes monthly Recruitment Services staff meetings and provides a summary of action items.

    + Engages in cross-training to support department priorities.

    + Adheres to work schedule, maintains consistent attendance, and is punctual.

    + Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and 2 years of relevant work experience; or

     

    Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and 3 years of relevant work experience; or

    Associate degree and eight years of supervisory experience, and 4 years of relevant work experience; or

    A high school diploma with fifteen years of supervisory experience and relevant work experience is required.

     

    Relevant experience includes, but is not limited to, human resources management, staff supervision, performance management, talent management, recruitment, and onboarding.

    Salary:

    $65,000 - $70,000 per year. FLSA Exempt
