Sample Logistics Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY
Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring on behalf of a leading global agricultural and life sciences organization. In alignment with the company’s worldwide crop science strategy and North America Field Solutions objectives, this role supports the timely, accurate, and compliant distribution of research and development samples to internal and external stakeholders.
The Sample Logistics Specialist plays a key role in supporting North American and global development studies related to the evaluation, registration, and re-registration of crop science products. This position requires strict adherence to safety, regulatory, and quality standards while managing sample processing, inventory control, and domestic and international shipping activities.
POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Process sample orders using designated Sample Logistics applications.
+ Prepare sample orders for shipment, including attaching appropriate Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
+ Scan sample orders and individual samples for packaging and shipment.
+ Package and ship samples in compliance with IATA and/or DOT regulations, ensuring completion and filing of required shipping documentation.
+ Assist with international shipments and communicate shipping details as required.
+ Conduct physical inventory counts and reconciliation of current, bulk, and GLP samples using Sample Logistics applications.
+ Create and maintain Excel-based inventory reports.
+ Receive incoming packages for the Sample Logistics team and maintain accurate receipt records.
+ Maintain the Certificate of Analysis archive for GLP samples.
+ Assist in overseeing the restricted GLP cage area to ensure samples are secured and maintained in compliance with GLP regulations.
+ Sub-fill sample containers in accordance with HSE standards, SDS requirements, and site safety policies.
+ Apply FIFRA research sample labels and stickers according to process orders.
+ Scan samples into inventory systems and complete associated process orders.
+ Identify potentially questionable test substances based on appearance and consult the Sample Logistics Manager as needed.
+ Maintain SDS files for the Sample Logistics inventory, retrieving documentation from global QHSE databases and supplier/manufacturer databases.
+ Maintain bulk inventory by ensuring proper labeling, scanning to physical locations, and storing containers on designated shelving.
+ Assist with ordering, receiving, and organizing supplies for the Sample Logistics team.
+ Support additional Sample Logistics duties as assigned.
+ Maintain current IATA and DOT training compliance.
+ Report discrepancies, system issues, or process concerns to the designated Sample Logistics representative.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
+ Associate degree or equivalent experience required
+ 0–3 years of related experience
+ Degree in a scientific field preferred
Required Skills & Competencies
+ Knowledge of safe chemical handling practices
+ Experience with inventory maintenance and reconciliation
+ High level of computer literacy
+ Ability to work efficiently while maintaining accuracy and safety
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
+ Logistics or sample management experience

**Pay Details:** $20.00 to $24.90 per hour
