    Job Order: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Urology

    **Employment Type:** Full-Time | Direct Hire

    **Location:** Palm Harbor, FL

    **Schedule:** Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

    **Shifts:** No Nights. No Weekends.

    Position Overview

    Make a Difference in Patient Care

     

    We are seeking a compassionate and motivated **Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)** to join a **Urology specialty practice** in Palm Harbor, FL. CMAs in this role will be **cross-trained** and supported with on-the-job training to succeed in both clinical and administrative functions within a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

     

    This is a **direct-hire, full-time opportunity** offering **excellent benefits starting Day One** and a consistent weekday schedule.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Greet and prepare patients for urology exams and procedures with professionalism and compassion

    + Collect and document vital signs, patient intake, and clinical information in **Epic EMR**

    + Assist providers during urology exams, procedures, and treatments

    + Administer medications and injections as ordered (if certified)

    + Perform specimen collection and assist with in-office urology procedures

    + Perform EKGs, urinalysis, phlebotomy, and lab specimen handling as needed

    + Educate patients on aftercare instructions and provider recommendations

    + **Cross-train in administrative functions and assist with patient scheduling, appointment coordination, and clinic workflow as needed**

    + Maintain clean, safe, and organized exam rooms and equipment

    + Ensure compliance with **OSHA, AHMG, and clinical regulations**

    + Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and care team members

    + Support the organization’s mission and commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care

    Qualifications

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    + Graduate of a **CAAHEP or ABHES-accredited Medical Assistant program**

    + Current Medical Assistant certification ( **AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, or NHA** )

    + Current **CPR certification**

    + **1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred**

    + **Urology experience is a plus, but not required — training will be provided**

    + **Epic EMR experience preferred**

    + Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills

    + Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced clinical environment

    + **Bilingual Spanish preferred**
