    Adecco is hiring a **Axel** **Trailer Technician in** Modesto, CA for a rapidly growing manufacturing facility. Join a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where under general supervision, you’ll support the Trailer Maintenance Technician with duties required to gather, inspect, and stage all the necessary components of a job and perform supporting tasks, including but not limited to: Reads and understands product specifications and drawings, and to follow Preventive Maintenance Procedures. In addition, responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory consideration.

    Pay & Schedule:

    + $23.00-$25.00 per hour

    + Some Overtime required

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrates the importance of safety and quality in every aspect of the job.

    • Learns and utilizes established communication procedures.

    • Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.

    • Carefully handles various pieces of equipment, tools, and machinery.

    • Assesses machinery during operation and makes repairs as needed.

    • Performs preventative maintenance according to established PM schedules.

    • Performs scheduled and unscheduled repairs.

    • Maintains appropriate inventory levels (parts and supplies).

    • Initiates recommendations for the purchase of equipment, parts, and supplies.

    • Follows established policies and procedures, including safety procedures.

    • Utilizes hand tools (both manual and powered) to perform machine adjustments and repairs.

    • Completes routine “housekeeping” duties throughout the shift and at other times as assigned.

    • Completes required paperwork to document PM’s, and daily production accomplishments.

    • Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.

    Requirements:

    + High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 1 year of mechanical experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

    + Candidates for this position must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driver’s license or appropriate state driver’s license within 30 days of hire.

    + Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.

    + Required to lift up to 60 pounds.

    + Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and diving using whole numbers.

    + Skilled in writing simple correspondence.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 3 years of mechanical experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

    + Basic electrical understanding.

    + Basic understanding of electrical equipment.
