Job Title: Medical Assistant
**Pay:** $25–$33 per hour
**Location:** Pleasanton, CA
Contract Position
We’re seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our clinical team on a contract basis. In this vital role, you’ll support both the clinical and administrative needs of the practice—helping ensure patients receive timely, compassionate care and a smooth experience from check-in to check-out.
What You’ll Do:
+ Room patients and gather vital signs, weights, and medical history
+ Assist with procedures, specimen collection, medication/vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing
+ Prepare and maintain exam rooms and stock supplies
+ Schedule and coordinate appointments, referrals, and authorizations
+ Process prescription refill requests and assist with documentation
+ Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information
+ Respond to patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service
+ Support providers with administrative and clinical tasks as needed
Qualifications:
+ High School Diploma or GED required
+ Medical Assistant Certificate or equivalent documented training required
+ BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
+ CMA (Certified or Registered Medical Assistant) preferred
+ Knowledge of medical terminology, coding, and billing regulations
+ Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
+ Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
+ Experience using electronic health records and scheduling systems
**Pay Details:** $24.00 to $33.00 per hour
