The NICU Clinical Manager is the clinical and business leader of the unit with accountability for planning, organizing, staffing, coaching and motivating a professional team so that safe and effective care is delivered. The Clinical Manager is responsible for operations, human resources, financial management and the clinical outcomes of the unit(s). The Clinical Manager provides direction and vision for the department and exemplifies the Rush Copley mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with policies and procedures. This position works closely with all multidisciplinary team members to assure the highest degree of quality care is followed at all times keeping the care and safety of the patient population as a top priority.
+ **License** : Must be licensed and currently registered to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of IL.
+ **Education** : Earned nursing degree at the baccalaureate level or higher required. Graduate degree preferred. Graduate degree required if hired into role after January 2017, within three years.
+ **Certifications:** CPR required
+ **Specialty certification preferred** ; required within two years of hire.
+ **Special Skills:** Excellent interpersonal communication, problem solving, autonomy, and decision-making skills. High level of analytical ability and the skill to work in complex clinical systems required. Experience in program development, and operations preferred. Ability to interact with all members of the interdisciplinary team and to build credible collaborative relationships. Able to work independently with effective follow through and accountability. Ability to use computer systems including electronic medical records, chart reviews, and programs such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint highly preferred.
+ **Experience** : 3-5 years in current NICU setting with progressive leadership responsibilities. Appropriate clinical background and experience determined based on the needs and team make-up.
