Job Title: Assembler** **Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Assembler to join our team in assembling forklifts, pallet trucks, or masts. You will use blueprints, schematics, or verbal direction to perform your tasks. Your role will include operating an overhead crane to move larger parts or equipment, performing functional tests and inspections to ensure product quality, assembling sub-assemblies and wiring harnesses, and maintaining a clean and orderly work station.

Responsibilities

+ Assemble forklifts, pallet trucks, or masts using blueprints, schematics, or verbal instructions.

+ Operate overhead crane to move larger parts or equipment.

+ Perform functional tests and inspections to ensure product quality before delivery to the final inspection area.

+ Assemble sub-assemblies, wiring harnesses, and various parts of the forklift.

+ Maintain a clean and orderly work station at all times.

Essential Skills

+ 2-3 years of mechanical assembly experience.

+ Experience in automotive installation or repair with hands-on wrench turning.

+ Strong knowledge of hand and power tools.

+ Production experience in a fast-paced environment.

+ Experience as an Automotive Technician in installation, repair, or assembly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Automobile or truck mechanic experience preferred.

+ Proficient computer skills required.

+ Attention to detail and quality a must.

+ Demonstrate strong teamwork skills.

+ Ability to work flexible hours and overtime on short notice.

+ Ability to stand for an entire shift and lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a climate-controlled facility with a structured shift schedule. The primary shift is Monday to Thursday from 6 am to 4:30 pm, with the opportunity for overtime on Fridays and Saturdays from 6 am to 2:30 pm. There is also a second shift available from Monday to Thursday, 2 pm to 12:30 am, with no overtime. The role requires standing for the entire shift and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Summerville, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
