Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Low Voltage Installer responsible for all aspects of fiber installation, including installing, terminating, testing, and splicing. This role involves working with both copper and fiber optic cables, ensuring proper installation and testing according to industry standards.
Responsibilities
+ Install, terminate, test, and splice fiber optic cables.
+ Perform basic copper termination skills.
+ Install work area outlets for floor, modular furniture, and wall, terminating CAT 3 and CAT 5 jacks.
+ Mount faceplates and surface mount boxes correctly.
+ Build closets by mounting and installing backboards, cross-connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic, and hardware.
+ Install grounding for racks, equipment, and cables as required.
+ Perform testing and troubleshooting using a volt-ohmmeter.
+ Install various connectors including LC, SC, ST, FC, FDDI, SMA, and MPO/MTP.
+ Terminate simplex and duplex jumper cords.
+ Perform both mechanical and fusion splicing with all types of fiber cables.
+ Calculate end-to-end loss budgets in accordance with TIA/EIA standards.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with fiber optic cabling, cable tray, and cable pulling.
+ Proficiency in Outside Plant (OSP) work.
+ Ability to pull cables through pathways, terminate, and test copper cables (Cat 5, Cat 6).
+ Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
+ Skilled in using hand and power tools.
Additional Skills & Certifications
+ OSHA 10 Certification.
+ Confined space training/certification.
+ Scissor lift certification.
+ BICSI certification.

Work Environment
This position is based in a large data center in Arizona, with all work performed outdoors. Candidates must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions, from cold winters to hot summers. Safety compliance is essential.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $51.00/hr.
