Job Title: Warehouse Employee** **Job Description

Join our team as a Warehouse Employee, where you will focus on order building and warehouse operations. This role involves picking and packing orders, building shipping frames using power tools, and ensuring items are securely wrapped for shipment. You will also assist in a small picking and packing operation for replacement parts and kits.

Responsibilities

+ Prepare order sheets for building orders.

+ Construct shipping frames using 2x4s and power tools.

+ Select and gather items by hand, including large parts like 10ft tall cages.

+ Use grinders or chop saws to cut products to the correct length.

+ Wrap orders to prepare them for shipment, ensuring posts are securely placed.

+ Move orders to the shipping area.

+ Assist in picking and packing operations for small replacement parts and kits.

Essential Skills

+ Mechanical aptitude.

+ Experience in a warehouse environment.

+ Proficiency with power tools.

+ Ability to follow work instructions or order sheets.

+ Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email communication.

+ Capability to stand for 8 hours per day.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in both warehouse and manufacturing environments.

+ Experience with picking, packing, and kit building.

+ Familiarity with RF scanners and inventory management.

Work Environment

Our standard warehouse environment is temperature-controlled with music playing over the speakers. The atmosphere is laid-back yet productive, with employees working hard but remaining happy and helpful. The shift runs from 8:30 AM to 4:45 PM, with a 45-minute unpaid lunch and two 10-minute paid breaks, totaling 37.5 hours per week. Flexibility is required as overtime may be needed, including early starts, late finishes, or occasional Saturday work. Safety shoes and gloves are required while using tools.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
