    Job Title: Traveling Industrial Coating Superintendent** **Job Description

     

    Supervise and coordinate all aspects of industrial coating projects, including surface preparation, sandblasting, application, and quality control. This role involves managing multiple crews at different locations, focusing on wall systems, ceiling coatings, and flooring systems. You will lead and manage on-site crews, ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies while developing and maintaining project schedules, monitoring progress, and proactively resolving issues. Communication with clients, project managers, and team members is vital to meet expectations. The role also includes overseeing equipment and material usage, ensuring proper maintenance and inventory control, enforcing OSHA and environmental compliance standards, and providing training and mentorship to coating teams.

    Responsibilities

    + Supervise and coordinate industrial coating projects including surface preparation and quality control.

    + Manage multiple crews simultaneously across various locations.

    + Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies on-site.

    + Develop and maintain project schedules and monitor progress.

    + Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and team members.

    + Oversee equipment and material usage, ensuring maintenance and inventory control.

    + Enforce OSHA and environmental compliance standards.

    + Provide training and mentorship to coating teams.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial coatings, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.

    + Hands-on experience with polyurea applications including surface preparation, spraying techniques, and curing processes.

    + Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.

    + Proficiency in project management tools and reporting.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + NACE or SSPC certifications preferred.

    + Bilingual abilities are a plus.

    + Must be willing to work plant shutdowns and weekends.

    + Must be willing to travel extensively for projects while maintaining Waseca, MN residency.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waseca, MN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $48.50/hr.
