Job Title: Rough Carpenter** **Job Description
As a Rough Carpenter, you will install and assemble steel stud framing systems for walls, ceilings, and partitions according to project specifications. Your role will involve reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and building plans to ensure accurate layout and installation. You will measure, cut, and secure steel studs, tracks, and related components using appropriate tools and techniques. Collaboration with project managers, foremen, and other trades is essential to maintain workflow and meet deadlines. You must ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and company safety policies at all times. Additionally, you will perform quality checks to ensure framing is level, plumb, and meets structural requirements, and assist with drywall hanging and other related tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
+ Install and assemble steel stud framing systems for walls, ceilings, and partitions.
+ Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and building plans.
+ Measure, cut, and secure steel studs, tracks, and components.
+ Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades.
+ Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and company policies.
+ Perform quality checks to ensure framing meets structural requirements.
+ Assist with drywall hanging and related tasks.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of experience in steel framing and commercial carpentry.
+ Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications.
+ Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for steel framing.
+ Strong understanding of construction safety practices.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites in Southern Minnesota.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
