    Job Title: Assembler Technician

    Job Description

    Join our team as an Assembler Technician, where you will be responsible for assembling shock absorber assemblies, sub-assemblies, hose assemblies, and accessory kits to meet company specifications and quality standards. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, and gather necessary parts, tools, and materials.

    + Assemble component parts to meet company specifications and customer expectations, maintaining quality and productivity standards.

    + Assemble shocks, sub-assemblies, or hose assemblies according to approved drawings or other visual aids.

    + Operate machinery and use hand/power tools such as pneumatic presses, torque wrenches, and drills.

    + Operate a circular saw to cut hoses for hose assemblies according to blueprint specifications.

    + Clean and prepare parts and sub-assemblies for assembly.

    + Recommend changes for process or quality improvements.

    + Maintain a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies.

    + Perform visual and mechanical inspections of parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies for defects and quality issues.

    + Report quality issues to lead or supervisor for further direction.

    + Ensure all housekeeping activities are completed and maintain work area in an orderly condition by returning tools and materials to storage areas.

    + Exhibit integrity through fair and ethical behaviors in all activities and maintain accountability for performance.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum 1 year of related experience in a manufacturing or assembly line environment.

    + Strong attention to detail and well-developed organizational and communication skills.

    + Ability to measure in millimeters and basic knowledge of hand tools and machine operation.

    + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitious duties while walking or standing for long periods.

    + Ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, and written instructions.

    + Proficient computer skills including typing, word processing, and printing.

    + Experience navigating and utilizing software tools such as SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft.

    + Knowledge of basic math, including working with decimals, and strong mechanical aptitude.

    + Ability to work required overtime during peak customer production periods.

    + Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.

    + Certificate from a technical or vocational school desired.

    + Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.

    + Experience with hand tools, torque wrenches, bench grinders, drill presses, and calipers.

    Work Environment

     

    You will work in a dynamic environment that blends manufacturing and research and development. The position follows a 4-10 schedule, working Monday through Thursday, with Fridays off. Standard hours are 6 am to 4:30 pm, with potential overtime on Fridays when needed. The work involves standing for the full shift and includes three breaks throughout the day.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Poway, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
