Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description

Operate processing and baking equipment to produce products within Quality Assurance guidelines and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

+ Properly mix ingredients and monitor temperature and moisture levels, making adjustments as needed.

+ Operate and shut down processing and bakery equipment, including changeovers and preventative maintenance.

+ Communicate and escalate quality issues to the appropriate team members.

+ Read and understand batch sheets, follow recipes, and accurately weigh raw materials.

+ Monitor and log temperatures, mix times, item numbers, and raw material weights, making necessary adjustments.

+ Monitor for possible foreign matter and follow sanitation procedures for clean-ups and changeovers, including chemical handling.

+ Track and dispose of waste properly.

+ Move raw ingredients using material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

+ Maintain proper raw material levels, unload raw materials trailers, and update appropriate personnel on raw material needs.

+ Monitor seasoning coverage and make adjustments as necessary.

+ Assist Filler Mixing personnel with tasks such as filling meal cones, opening and stacking filler fat, transporting hoppers/modules, and other filler/mixer duties.

+ Adhere to safety and hygiene guidelines for safe housekeeping and personal protection, maintaining a clean work area and clear aisles/exits.

+ Report defective equipment and all job-related injuries to supervision.

+ Mandatory overtime may be required.

Essential Skills

+ Mechanical aptitude and experience with machine operation.

+ Reliability and dependability, with the ability to show up to work every day.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in production and general machine operation.

+ Familiarity with hand tools.
