• Service Technician

    Aerotek (King George, VA)


    We are currently hiring for an Equipment Company that is looking for qualified Service Technicians and Shop Technicians in the King George, VA area.

     

    **Service Tech:** Will travel throughout the week, home on weekends, company provided vehicle and credit card, additional $2/hr when on the road

    **Shop Tech:** Looking for a foreman level shop technician to manage eqiupment repairs within the shop

     

    Job Title: Service Technician

    Job Description

    As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for the assembly and disassembly of components and accessories on large drilling and foundation piling equipment. This includes working with hydraulic cylinders, diesel engines, undercarriage assemblies, and more. You will perform diagnostic testing to identify mechanical issues, write detailed service reports, and complete parts order requisitions. You will also operate various tools and equipment, such as forklifts and heavy-duty air tools, and perform repairs and preventive maintenance on drilling and pile driving equipment.

    Responsibilities

    + Assemble and disassemble components on drilling and piling equipment, including hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and structural components.

    + Perform diagnostic testing to isolate mechanical problems.

    + Write detailed service reports and complete parts order requisitions.

    + Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other heavy equipment in tight spaces.

    + Complete repairs and preventive maintenance on drilling and pile driving equipment within required timeframes.

    + Perform minor repairs at jobsite locations and notify Service Manager of any suspected customer damage.

    + Complete quality control service tags when inspecting rental equipment.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair.

    + Experience with construction equipment, including CAN-bus wiring, hydraulics, and power trains.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

    + Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with heavy equipment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience working with heavy and ground support equipment, such as CAT and Bauer machinery.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $35.00/hr.
