Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our conveyor systems and industrial equipment. Your primary focus will be on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and resolving any equipment issues that arise within our facilities.
Responsibilities
+ Perform preventative maintenance for FedEx facilities, focusing on material handling equipment, conveyors, electrical and mechanical equipment, motor controls, and PLCs.
+ Act as the go-to person for all breakdowns and preventative maintenance, as there is no in-house maintenance support.
+ Be open to performing general handyman work, such as changing lights and other necessary tasks.
+ Work will be conducted primarily between Syracuse and Binghamton, with the requirement to travel within a two-hour radius.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with conveyor systems.
+ Knowledge and experience working with industrial controls.
+ Ability to read and troubleshoot from blueprints and schematics.
+ Understanding of industrial electrical systems, including 480V and three-phase wiring.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Fabrication and welding experience is a plus.
+ Experience with motor controls.
+ Understanding of bearings and their maintenance needs.
+ Experience with AC and DC motors, belts, PLCs, and variable frequency drives.

Work Environment
You will be working in a team-oriented environment with a focus on collaboration and a can-do attitude. The role requires travel between facilities in the region, and you will have the opportunity to work independently and take ownership of maintenance activities.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of EAST SYRACUSE, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
