Position Overview
The Maintenance Engineer plays a key role in supporting the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the property. Under the direction of the Chief Engineer, this position performs a wide range of technical and mechanical tasks to ensure building systems operate at peak performance. The role includes executing preventive maintenance schedules, conducting routine inspections, and troubleshooting facility systems to maintain a high standard of service for tenants and building occupants.
This position is client‑facing and requires strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively in healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities
+ Perform technical and mechanical maintenance tasks as directed by the Chief Engineer
+ Execute preventive maintenance programs for building systems and equipment
+ Conduct routine inspections to identify issues and ensure optimal system performance
+ Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems
+ Assist with HVAC system checks, adjustments, and minor repairs
+ Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs
+ Support facility operations to ensure maximum efficiency and cost‑effectiveness
+ Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas in compliance with safety standards
+ Interact professionally with tenants, staff, and healthcare personnel
+ Assist with general building maintenance, including carpentry, drywall, and painting tasks

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Winston-Salem, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
