Job Title: Licensed Practical NurseJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. This role involves endorsing, interpreting, and enforcing the objectives and procedures of the Nursing Department. The nurse will plan, direct, coordinate, delegate, and evaluate the activities of all nursing personnel within the assigned area, ensuring high standards of patient care and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

+ Endorse, interpret, and enforce the objectives and procedures of the Nursing Department.

+ Plan, direct, coordinate, delegate, and evaluate the activities of all nursing personnel within the assigned area.

+ Conduct daily conferences with unit staff to review and communicate recent policy and procedure updates.

+ Maintain courtesy to all unit visitors.

+ Coordinate with appropriate personnel to ensure adequate supplies and equipment are available on assigned unit.

+ Provide consultation for unit personnel, resolve immediate problems, and communicate actions to Unit Supervisor.

Essential Skills

+ RN license with active NYS Registration.

+ Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

+ 6+ months experience within a long-term care setting.

+ Strong oral and written communication skills.

+ Good interpersonal skills.

+ Experience in care management, managed care, and rehabilitation.

+ Experience in case management, geriatrics, triage, and EMR.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Active BLS certification.

+ Must have been licensed for at least 6 months prior to application.

+ Driver's license or state ID card and Social Security Card required.

Work Environment

This is a union position that offers a sign-on bonus or student loan forgiveness upon becoming a permanent employee. The work schedule includes orientation on Monday and Tuesday from 9am-5pm, followed by three buddy shifts on specific shifts (7:30am-3:30pm, 3:30pm-11:30pm, 11:30pm-7:30am). The role offers holiday pay for hours worked up to 7.5, and includes benefits such as 403b and an employer-paid pension. The facility is women-owned and founded, and is home to over 200 contingent workers.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $44.00 - $44.00/hr.
