    Process Engineer

    About the Role

    We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer to analyze and enhance existing chemical processes, with emphasis on efficiency, yield, and safety in the gasification process. You will provide technical support in process chemistry, identify and resolve process issues, and ensure compliance with safety standards. This role leads projects aimed at process improvement and partners closely with operations, maintenance, quality, and EHS to maintain efficient plant performance.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Analyze and improve existing chemical processes to enhance efficiency, yield, and safety.

    + Provide technical support and guidance to plant operators and engineering staff.

    + Identify and resolve process‑related issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.

    + Collect and analyze process data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.

    + Lead and participate in process‑improvement projects, including design, implementation, and evaluation.

    + Ensure all processes comply with safety regulations and standards; conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.

    + Maintain accurate documentation of process changes, improvements, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

    + Collaborate with maintenance, quality control, and environmental health & safety to ensure integrated plant operations.

    Qualifications (Essential)

    + Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.

    + 6+ years of experience in a refinery, petrochemical environment, or PSM facility.

    + Strong knowledge of chemical engineering principles and process chemistry.

    + Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex process issues and implement effective solutions.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + Experience managing projects, including planning, execution, and evaluation.

    + In‑depth understanding of safety regulations and best practices in chemical processing environments.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications (Preferred)

    + Experience with state‑of‑the‑art equipment and technology in chemical processing.

    + Ability to work collaboratively across various departments.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of Edwardsport, IN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr.
