Job Title: Data Center Mechanical Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our Design Services Team supporting the development of next-generation data centers. This is a contract role focused on delivering high-performance mechanical design solutions for hyperscale infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mechanical system design, strong proficiency in Revit for 3D modeling, and experience designing mechanical control systems for large-scale commercial or industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

+ Design and develop mechanical systems for data centers utilizing Revit for 3D modeling.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver mechanical design solutions for hyperscale infrastructure projects.

+ Ensure mechanical systems are designed to meet environmental controls and safety standards.

+ Implement control systems to monitor and maintain optimal environmental conditions within data centers.

+ Evaluate the constructability of new technologies and determine construction methods for data center equipment and facilities.

+ Present business case analyses and propose innovative solutions to reduce costs without compromising quality or reliability.

Essential Skills

+ 3+ years of Mechanical Design experience in Revit.

+ Experience in designing large mechanical systems for large envelope projects.

+ Experience supporting large mission-critical industries such as Data Centers, Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals, or Oil & Gas.

+ Proficiency in designing mechanical control systems to manage environmental conditions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 5+ years of experience with design of Data Centers, Mission Critical Facilities, Hospitals, Schools, or highly complex Commercial Tower facilities.

+ Ability to evaluate the constructability of new technologies.

+ Capability to perform and present business case analyses.

+ Willingness to think outside the box for innovative solutions during the construction process.

Work Environment

This position is 100% remote, with the option to work from the office if preferred.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
