Job Title: DrafterJob Description

Join our dynamic distribution drafting group, providing essential support to designers and utility owners in upgrading infrastructure projects. You will play a key role in solving client issues related to work backlog by transforming survey points from the survey team into detailed drawings using AutoCAD AUD, adhering to Southern California Edison design standards. Your work will include projects with pole heads, materials, and grid maps leading to the delivery of finalized products.

Responsibilities

+ Collaborate with the survey team to transform survey points into detailed drawings using AutoCAD AUD.

+ Adhere to Southern California Edison design standards throughout the drafting process.

+ Complete projects involving pole heads, materials, and grid maps.

+ Deliver finished products to clients, ensuring all specifications are met.

+ Support the distribution drafting group by addressing client issues related to work backlog.

Essential Skills

+ 1+ year experience with AutoCAD AUD, with consideration for 3-6 months of specific AUD experience.

+ Experience with Southern California Edison projects.

+ Proficiency in field data analysis, utility planning, and survey analysis.

+ Strong background in drafting, power distribution, utilities, and power delivery.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to quickly understand instructions and communicate effectively in a primarily remote work environment.

+ Team-oriented with a willingness to work overtime as needed.

Work Environment

You will work in a design office that offers a hybrid schedule after an initial week in-office. Our team consists of around 40 people, with a dedicated team of 5+ drafters. Enjoy a laidback, family-oriented environment where team-building events like happy hours are encouraged. Flexible scheduling is available, with work hours typically from Monday to Friday, starting as early as 6 AM and no later than 8:30 AM. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fullerton, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
