    Job Title: Chemical OperatorJob Description

     

    As a Chemical Operator, you will be responsible for operating various chemical mixing and compounding equipment, including pumps, valves, and hoses. You will also utilize sit-down forklifts to transport materials across the site, follow specific batch sheets, and document all relevant information. Precise measurement of raw materials and performing quality control checks on finished, in-process, and raw materials are essential tasks.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate chemical mixing and compounding equipment, pumps, valves, and hoses.

    + Use sit-down forklifts to transport materials to shipping and receiving areas.

    + Follow batch sheets and accurately document all related information.

    + Utilize measuring equipment to weigh raw materials to correct proportions.

    + Perform mathematical calculations to ensure correct material quantities and percentages.

    + Conduct quality control checks on finished, in-process, and raw materials.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in blending, mixing, and compounding chemicals.

    + Ability to follow batch sheets, formulas, and ingredient lists.

    + Understanding of the operation of pumps and hoses (hydraulic, air, electric, etc.).

    + Capability to operate complex production equipment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School Diploma, HSED, or GED.

    + Minimum of 2 years of experience in mixing, blending, or compounding, or 2 years in food, chemical, or pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.

    Work Environment

    This role is based in a manufacturing facility with about 35 production personnel. You will work closely with a team of 2 to 4 people per blend, interacting with production and QA/QC staff. The environment can be dirty and hot due to machines operating at high temperatures and the nature of the products being manufactured, such as oils and lubricants. The position is a 1st shift role, with hours from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., requiring flexibility for overtime and occasional Saturday work. Teamwork is highly emphasized, and all safety standards and ISO regulations must be followed.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NEW BERLIN, WI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
