Job Title: Process Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer to analyze and enhance existing chemical processes, focusing on efficiency, yield, and safety in the gasification process. The role involves providing technical support in process chemistry, identifying and resolving process-related issues, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. You will lead projects aimed at process improvement, collaborating closely with various departments to maintain efficient plant operations.
Responsibilities
+ Analyze and improve existing chemical processes to enhance efficiency, yield, and safety.
+ Provide technical support and guidance to plant operators and engineering staff.
+ Identify and resolve process-related issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
+ Collect and analyze process data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
+ Lead and participate in projects aimed at process improvement, including design, implementation, and evaluation.
+ Ensure all processes comply with safety regulations and standards, conducting regular safety audits and risk assessments.
+ Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of process changes, improvements, and standard operating procedures.
+ Collaborate with other departments, including maintenance, quality control, and environmental health and safety, to ensure integrated plant operations.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
+ 6+ years of experience in a refinery, petrochemical environment, or PSM facility.
+ Strong knowledge of chemical engineering principles and process chemistry.
+ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex process issues and implement effective solutions.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Experience in managing projects, including planning, execution, and evaluation.
+ In-depth understanding of safety regulations and best practices in chemical processing environments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with state-of-the-art equipment and technology in chemical processing.
+ Ability to work collaboratively across various departments.
Work Environment
The typical work schedule involves five days a week, 40 hours per week, with potential overtime required during outages or emergencies. The plant is unique, with state-of-the-art equipment and technology. Employees receive numerous benefits, including holidays, PTO, laptop, cell phone allowance, boots allowance, and PPE allowance.

This is a Contract position based out of Edwardsport, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr.
