Job Title: REMOTE Lab Tech III
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Lab Tech III to support our global laboratories in projects related to Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), specifically Thermo SampleManager. This role requires a strong scientific experience and experience in laboratory analysis and quality systems management.
Responsibilities
+ Support global laboratories with ongoing projects related to Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), particularly Thermo SampleManager.
+ Interpret laboratory test methods for the calculations and formulas needed to generate results.
+ Compile custom calculation fields in LIMS (SampleManager) necessary for calculating laboratory results in the system.
+ Work with Chromatographic Data Systems (CDS), such as Empower, as a secondary responsibility.
+ Draft documents to serve as guidelines for the laboratory to use in calculations and report results.
+ Follow calculation validation processes related to laboratory quality applications.
+ Report to the Quality Systems support team.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in laboratory research and chromatography.
+ Proficiency in quality systems management, Empower, and Chromeleon.
+ Previous experience as a laboratory analyst with chromatography experience, preferably with SampleManager LIMS.
+ Ability to support lab administration and quality systems used by the laboratory.
+ Understanding of Chromatographic Data Systems (CDS) such as Empower or Chromeleon.
+ Scientific experience with experience following analytical test methods.
+ Experience with multi-site or multi-stakeholder project work supporting laboratory quality systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ A bachelor's or master's degree in biochemistry or molecular cell biology with at least three years of independent hands-on laboratory experience.
+ Training and experience in using aseptic techniques in a laminar flow biosafety cabinet.
+ Significant cell culture expertise, including maintenance, freezing, thawing, and passaging.
+ Proficiency in biochemical assays such as Western blot, WES, immunofluorescence, and flow cytometry.
+ Skilled in molecular biology techniques such as RNA extraction, cDNA synthesis, and RT-qPCR.

The successful candidate will work in a dynamic and collaborative laboratory environment. The role involves using advanced laboratory technologies and equipment to support global laboratory operations. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced setting, adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of North Chicago, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
