    Job Description

    As a Program Manager, you will coordinate project tasks and engineering milestones to ensure that deadlines are met within the agreed time frame and budget. You will manage projects for development, focusing on new orders and contracts, and lead the technical scope with software, firmware, and electrical engineers. Your role is critical in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget while adhering to quality standards and procedures.

    Responsibilities

    + Coordinate projects tasks and engineering milestones to ensure deadlines are met.

    + Manage development project tasks for new orders and new contracts.

    + Lead and coordinate technical scope with software, firmware, and electrical engineers.

    + Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

    + Partner with engineers to discuss design and engineering choices for profitability and timelines.

    + Manage communication between subcontractors, internal partners, and customers.

    Essential Skills

    + 5+ years experience in Project Management, Program Management, or Project Engineering for development and R&D projects.

    + Experience leading projects or programs with a technical scope, partnering with software, firmware, and electrical engineers.

    + Direct experience managing budget, schedule, timelines for deliverables, and customer communication.

    + Preferred experience with government programs, especially in space and defense.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience in schedule planning and project management.

    + Experience with space, aerospace, avionics systems, and defense aerospace.

    + Knowledge of AS9100 standards.

    + Experience in cost management, budget management, and project coordination.

    Work Environment

    The work environment is a small customer site with a family feel, supported by the financial backing of a larger organization. It features an office space, assembly, and lab area in a modest office building located in a small business park alongside Maxar Technologies. The company specializes in space avionics and sensor systems, serving commercial, space, and defense markets. The team is dedicated to the total success of missions, developing, manufacturing, and testing video systems integrated into satellites, rockets, and spacecrafts. The company has been instrumental in major space missions, including the Space Shuttle, International Space Station, and NASA's Artemis program, with over 150 successful missions to its credit.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pasadena, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00/hr.
