Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented PART TIME Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential financial operations, including invoice management and intercompany data entry. The role requires a reliable individual with strong attention to detail who can work onsite at least four days a week and efficiently handle accounts payable and receivable tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Process and monitor invoices, ensuring accurate coding and entry into the system.

• Manage intercompany data entry tasks and address any discrepancies as needed.

• Handle cash deposits and assist with accounts receivable functions.

• Respond to inquiries related to accounts payable and resolve issues promptly.

• Maintain thorough documentation of financial transactions and escalate issues when necessary.

• Utilize Excel for tracking and reporting tasks, ensuring data accuracy.

• Collaborate with team members to triage and prioritize outstanding accounts payable tasks.

• Support inbox management by organizing and addressing relevant communications.

• Follow established templates and procedures while identifying opportunities for improvement.

• Assist with onboarding and training new staff to ensure smooth transitions.

Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable and invoice processing.

• Proficiency in data entry with high attention to detail.

• Familiarity with intercompany systems and processes.

• Ability to use Excel for basic tracking and reporting tasks.

• Effective communication skills for managing inquiries and escalations.

• Experience with Workday or similar financial systems is preferred.

• Strong organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

• Availability to work onsite at least four days a week.
