    Description

    We are looking for a skilled IT Support Technician to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The IT Support Technician is responsible for providing onsite and remote technical support to clients. This role focuses on first-response troubleshooting, hardware setup, basic networking tasks, and escalation to higher-tier engineers when necessary. The position requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow established procedures and documentation.

    Primary Responsibilities

    + Provide onsite technical support for client locations during normal business hours

    + Perform troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and peripherals

    + Assist with user account setup, password resets, and basic Microsoft 365 support

    + Install, replace, and configure workstations, monitors, docking stations, and basic network equipment

    + Perform basic network checks (connectivity, cabling, patch panels, switch ports)

    + Document all work clearly in the ticketing system, including time entries and resolution notes

    + Follow escalation procedures for issues requiring Level 3 support

    + Maintain professional appearance and communication when interacting with clients

    + Adhere to company security, compliance, and safety policies at all times

    + Assist with workstation deployments, upgrades, and refresh projects

    + Support basic VoIP phone setups and troubleshooting

    + Perform routine maintenance tasks as assigned

    + Assist senior technicians during larger onsite projects

    + Participate in ongoing training and skill development

    + Other duties as needed.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

     

    + 1+ years experience in IT support or a related technical role

    + Understanding of:

    + Windows 10 / Windows 11

    + Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive)

    + Printers and peripheral devices

    + Basic TCP/IP networking concepts

    + Strong customer service and communication skills

    + Ability to follow SOPs and document work accurately

    + Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

    + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (equipment, PCs, monitors)

    Preferred Qualifications

    + CompTIA A+ or equivalent experience

    + Prior MSP or help desk experience

    + Familiarity with ticketing systems (Autotask, ConnectWise, etc.)

    + Knowledge of Active Directory environments

    + Knowledge of Workstations, servers and basic networking from topology to application layer.

     

    Work Schedule

     

    + Standard hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday

    + Onsite work required

     

    Must have a valid Drivers license and reliable transportation required, travel to client sites in Albuquerque and Los Lunas and some travel to Santa Fe, NM.
