Description We are looking for a highly organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Rochester Hills, Michigan. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in managing billing, collections, and financial processes to ensure the smooth operation of accounts receivable functions. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong attention to detail and a passion for maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

• Process billing activities, cash postings, and financial reports within established deadlines.

• Prepare and distribute invoices to clients while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Manage bank deposits and oversee payment processing activities.

• Collaborate with various departments to ensure adherence to accounts receivable policies and procedures.

• Conduct credit checks, evaluate discount opportunities, and maintain detailed customer files.

• Review and release customer orders daily while ensuring compliance with financial guidelines.

• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues related to payments, invoices, or account discrepancies.

• Ensure proper documentation of tasks and maintain compliance with accounting department procedures.

• Perform collections activities, including handling 30-50 calls per month to recover outstanding payments. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, including cash posting and payment processing.

• Proven experience in handling collections activities, with the ability to manage 30-50 calls monthly.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate financial record management.

• Availability to work evening shifts with rotating day shifts as required.

• Ability to follow accounting department procedures and meet documentation and deadline requirements.

• Excellent communication skills to address customer, vendor, or internal staff inquiries.

• Proficiency in billing functions, cash applications, and commercial collections.

• Familiarity with accounts receivable and financial software tools.
