Description
We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Specialist to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate payroll processing, compliance with regulations, and maintaining financial integrity. The ideal candidate has extensive experience handling payroll operations and supporting employees with payroll inquiries.
Responsibilities:
• Process regular, supplemental, and off-cycle payrolls for salaried, hourly, and student employees with precision and timeliness.
• Verify time entries, deductions, calculations, and personnel actions to ensure data accuracy.
• Provide assistance to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries and resolve any issues.
• Maintain comprehensive records and documentation to support payroll accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and post adjusting journal entries related to payroll activities.
• Support monthly reconciliations of payroll liabilities and ensure proper recording in the general ledger.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of payroll tax forms, including 941, W-2/W-3, and state-specific reports.
• Handle payroll deductions and garnishments, ensuring timely remittance to relevant agencies.
• Coordinate with auditors and compile payroll-related documentation to support audit processes.
• Manage payroll system functionalities, including timesheets, leave accruals, and balance updates.
Requirements • Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing for large employee populations.
• Expertise in multi-state payroll operations and compliance requirements.
• Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and reporting standards.
• Ability to process payroll for over 500 employees with accuracy and efficiency.
• Proficiency in maintaining payroll records and handling reconciliations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to address employee payroll concerns.
• Familiarity with payroll systems and general ledger integration.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
