Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Director of Finance to oversee and optimize financial operations within our non-profit organization. This leadership role requires strategic thinking, a deep understanding of financial principles, and the ability to guide budgeting and reporting processes effectively. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in financial management and a commitment to driving organizational success.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and execution of the annual budgeting process to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Manage and oversee month-end close procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards.
• Prepare and present detailed financial reports to support informed decision-making across departments.
• Monitor and analyze cash flow to maintain financial stability and identify areas for improvement.
• Implement and refine budget processes to enhance efficiency and accountability.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards in all financial activities.
• Provide strategic direction for financial planning, forecasting, and reporting initiatives.
• Utilize NetSuite software to streamline financial operations and reporting processes.
• Oversee non-profit accounting practices, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct detailed cash flow analysis to support organizational growth and sustainability.
Requirements
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial management or related roles within the non-profit/government accounting industry.
• Proven expertise in managing annual budgets and month-end close processes.
• Strong proficiency in GAAP accounting and financial reporting standards.
• Demonstrated ability to perform cash flow analysis and forecasting.
• Experience with NetSuite or similar financial management software.
• Knowledge of non-profit accounting practices and regulations.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities to collaborate effectively across teams.
