    Description

    We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Plainview, New York. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in accounts, and supporting the overall accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

    Responsibilities:

    • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions promptly and accurately.

    • Utilize QuickBooks to maintain and update financial records.

    • Enter and verify data related to invoices and payments.

    • Handle invoice processing efficiently to ensure timely payments.

    • Reconcile account balances and address discrepancies.

    • Support financial reporting by preparing and organizing necessary documentation.

    • Assist in maintaining organized and secure financial records.

    • Communicate with vendors and clients to resolve payment or billing issues.

    • Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes.

     

    Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

     

    • Proficiency in using QuickBooks for accounting tasks.

    • Strong skills in data entry with a focus on accuracy.

    • Familiarity with invoice processing and related procedures.

    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

    • Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.

    • Effective communication skills for vendor and client interactions.

    • High level of attention to detail and commitment to maintaining financial accuracy.
