Description
We are seeking an experienced (3+ yrs) Regulatory Legal Specialist to *REMOTELY* join our team on a contract basis in New York, NY. This critical role will support regulatory compliance efforts, draft legal documentation, and collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure our organization’s adherence to evolving healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in healthcare law, regulatory affairs, or PBM/TPA operations—and will have direct experience addressing issues such as PBM backlog management, DOI Bulletins, “Gold Carding,” and PBM reform/regulatory matters.
Responsibilities:
• Track, monitor, and assess implications of changes to federal and state laws and regulations, including those impacting PBMs and healthcare reform.
• Maintain a centralized repository of regulatory updates and oversee their implementation, especially in relation to DOI Bulletins and PBM regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to confirm and communicate implementation plans and timelines.
• Conduct regulatory research and prepare detailed summaries, impact analyses, and internal guidance documents tailored to business needs.
• Draft and update compliance policies and procedures, reflecting requirements around PBM backlog resolution, Gold Carding, and other emerging regulatory priorities.
• Provide legal and operational support for projects related to PBM reform and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to foster alignment and accountability across teams.
Requirements
• At least three years of experience in healthcare law, regulatory compliance, or PMB/TPA operations.
• Experience working with regulatory tracking tools like PBM Source or similar platforms.
• Advanced knowledge of healthcare law, regulatory affairs, or pharmacy benefit management (PBM/TPA) operations.
• Proven experience working with DOI Bulletins, “Gold Carding” protocols, PBM backlogs, and recent PBM reform initiatives.
• Strong research, drafting, and analytical skills with an ability to communicate complex regulatory guidance to diverse audiences.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Paralegal certification or Juris Doctor (JD) degree with a healthcare specialization preferred.
