    Robert Half Finance & Accounting (Carmel, IN)


    Description

    Our Carmel, IN client is seeking an organized and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing Accounting/Finance department. In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting the financial management and reporting needs of a diverse group of entities, including real estate, insurance, banking, and development operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Perform account reconciliations and assist with the month- and quarter-end close across multiple business lines

    + Prepare accurate and timely financial statements for real estate assets and assist with quarterly consolidation processes

    + Compile data and update schedules to support internal and external audits

    + Develop and deliver reports for key stakeholders, including committee and board presentations

    + Contribute to compliance and regulatory filings by gathering information and ensuring accuracy

    + Collaborate with senior team members and management on special projects and workflow improvements

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related area

    + Proficient with Microsoft Excel and general accounting software

    + Exposure to real estate or banking environments is a plus, but not required

    + Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven atmosphere

    + A collaborative mindset with the ability to take ownership of assignments and work independently

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.

    • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial statement preparation.

    • Experience with consolidations and month-end close processes.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a team-oriented mindset.
