Description

We are looking for a skilled Attorney/Lawyer to provide contract legal support for a transport-focused organization in Atlanta, Georgia. This contract position involves reviewing, drafting, and negotiating critical agreements to ensure smooth operations and compliance with legal standards. The role requires a commitment of 15 hours per week for a duration of four weeks.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and revise a variety of agreements, including vendor contracts, subgrants, memorandums of understanding (MOUs), non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), amendments, and renewals.

• Ensure all contracts align with applicable federal and state funding guidelines, legal standards, and organizational policies.

• Collaborate with external parties to negotiate contract terms, escalating significant risks or non-standard clauses to the Managing Attorney.

• Provide timely updates on contract progress to enhance visibility and support prioritization.

• Maintain high-quality compliance standards while addressing time-sensitive legal matters.

• Identify and mitigate potential risks within agreements to safeguard organizational interests.

Requirements

• Proven experience in drafting and reviewing commercial contracts.

• Strong knowledge of federal and state funding guidelines.

• Proficiency in redlining and negotiating contract terms.

• Familiarity with legal standards and compliance requirements.

• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify risks in agreements.

• Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

• Ability to manage multiple agreements simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

• Must have an active bar license.
