Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. This is a long-term contract position that requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills. The role involves managing a high volume of invoices and ensuring accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

• Enter and process invoices accurately into the accounting system.

• Perform 3-way matching for purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documents.

• Allocate freight expenses appropriately across different parts of the shipment.

• Utilize spreadsheets to calculate tariffs and ensure proper categorization.

• Prepare inventory reports and perform month-end reconciliations using Excel, including VLookups.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Follow directions from supervisors to meet organizational goals and deadlines.

• Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures in all accounting activities.

• Use Microsoft Dynamics for accounting tasks and reporting.

• Ensure proper coding of invoices and account coding for financial transactions. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and check runs.

• Familiarity with 3-way matching for financial transactions.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLookups.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM or Dynamics AX.

• Ability to manage high volumes of invoices with accuracy and efficiency.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Understanding of tariffs and ability to categorize them appropriately.

• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with internal teams.
