Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Virginia. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and expertise in accounting processes and financial management. You will play a key role in overseeing critical accounting functions and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting.

• Manage and maintain the general ledger to support accurate financial data.

• Conduct and oversee financial statement audits to ensure regulatory compliance.

• Reconcile accounts regularly to maintain integrity in financial records.

• Prepare and review journal entries as part of daily accounting operations.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address accounting inquiries and resolve discrepancies.

• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and best practices within all financial procedures.

• Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, fostering continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience with month-end close processes and general ledger management.

• Proficiency in conducting financial statement audits and reconciling accounts.

• Large company experience preferred; healthcare a plus

• Familiarity with Workday accounting software or similar systems.

• CPA or MBA is preferred.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines efficiently.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
