    Description

    We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Bilingual Appointment Scheduler to join our healthcare team in Rockville, Maryland. In this role, you will coordinate and manage medical appointments, ensuring that patients receive timely and efficient care. The Bilingual Appointment Scheduler is responsible for coordinating patient appointments efficiently and accurately. This role requires strong attention to detail, clear communication, and experience navigating Athena or similar EMR platforms.

    Responsibilities

    • Schedule and confirm patient appointments in Athena or EMR

    • Communicate appointment details clearly in English and Spanish

    • Coordinate provider availability, referrals, and follow-ups

    • Verify patient demographics and insurance information

    • Reduce no-shows through reminders and proactive outreach

    • Maintain accurate scheduling records and documentation

    • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent required

    • 1+ year of appointment scheduling or healthcare admin experience

    • Bilingual: fluent in English and Spanish

    • Hands-on experience with Athena (athenaOne) or other EMR/EHR systems

    • Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills
