Description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a pivotal part in managing comprehensive accounting tasks for multiple clients within the financial services sector. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in QuickBooks Online and demonstrate a commitment to delivering accurate financial insights and exceptional client support.

Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle accounting processes, including transaction recording, account reconciliation, and preparation of financial statements.

• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions for multiple client accounts.

• Utilize QuickBooks Online to maintain precise and current financial records.

• Ensure adherence to accounting principles, standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to clients.

• Communicate effectively with clients to address inquiries and guide them through financial processes.

• Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and client needs in a dynamic work environment.

• Perform month-end and year-end closings, ensuring all accounts are accurate and reconciled.

• Prepare corporate and sales tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.

• Maintain the general ledger and journal entries with attention to detail and accuracy.

The salary range for this position is $27 to $33. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Requirements • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is mandatory.

• At least 5 years of experience in full-cycle accounting.

• Strong knowledge of corporate tax, sales tax, and financial reporting.

• Ability to manage multiple client accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.

• Detail-oriented with exceptional problem-solving capabilities.

• Familiarity with month-end and year-end closings, as well as account reconciliation.

• Experience with general ledger maintenance and journal entries.
