Description We are looking for a skilled Collections Specialist to join our team in Rosemount, Minnesota. In this long-term contract position, you will manage collection processes and ensure timely payments while maintaining strong relationships with clients. This role is crucial in optimizing financial operations and minimizing outstanding accounts.
Responsibilities:
• Manage commercial and consumer collections, ensuring payments are received within designated timelines.
• Monitor overdue accounts and follow up with clients via phone, email, or written communication.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities and payment arrangements.
• Evaluate credit risks and recommend appropriate collection strategies.
• Develop and implement efficient collection processes to improve cash flow.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements during all collection activities.
• Provide regular reports on collection performance and outstanding accounts.
• Build and maintain strong, detail-focused relationships with customers to facilitate effective collections.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the overall efficiency of the collections department. Requirements • Proven experience in commercial and consumer collections.
• Strong understanding of credit and collection processes.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to analyze financial data and assess credit risks.
• Proficiency in collection-related software and tools.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
• Knowledge of billing and payment procedures.
• Familiarity with regulatory guidelines related to collections.
