Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in San Luis Obispo, California. In this part-time position, you will play a crucial role in managing invoice processing, coding, and payments to ensure the financial accuracy and efficiency of operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about maintaining organized financial records.

Responsibilities:

• Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies.

• Review and code invoices to appropriate accounts for financial tracking.

• Prepare and execute check runs to meet payment deadlines.

• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and documentation.

• Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies.

• Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

• Ensure proper documentation and approval processes for all payments.

• Monitor and reconcile vendor statements to maintain up-to-date records.

• Support audits by providing necessary accounts payable documentation.

• Identify opportunities for improving accounts payable processes.

Requirements • Previous experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.

• Proficiency in coding invoices and managing check runs.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

• Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and team members.

• Familiarity with accounting software and tools.

• Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and financial accuracy.
