Description

We are seeking a skilled Attorney to join our team in Houston, Texas on a contract to permanent basis. This role requires a proactive individual with strong attention to detail, capable of handling a wide range of civil litigation cases and providing expert guidance on commercial real estate matters. The ideal candidate will excel at drafting legal documents and managing discovery processes while ensuring compliance with legal standards. This role is remote; based in Texas. Attorney must hold an active bar license in Texas.

Responsibilities:

• Handle assigned cases with a high level of autonomy, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

• Draft and review motions, briefs, and other legal documents with precision and attention to detail.

• Conduct thorough discovery processes, including gathering and analyzing relevant evidence.

• Provide legal expertise in civil litigation cases, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

• Advise clients on commercial real estate transactions, including HUD-related matters.

• Collaborate with associates and law clerks to manage casework efficiently and meet deadlines.

• Offer strategic legal advice and solutions to complex issues encountered during case management.

• Maintain detailed records and documentation for all assigned cases.

• Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and clarity.

• Stay updated on legal developments and apply this knowledge to ongoing cases.

Requirements • Active license to practice law in the state of Texas.

• Proven experience in civil litigation and commercial real estate law.

• Proficiency in drafting legal motions and briefs.

• Strong knowledge of discovery procedures and evidence management.

• Familiarity with HUD regulations and their application in real estate.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with a team.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
